Detailed wood burning is used to decorate the box, as well as each playing piece. A clear coat protects the wood and adds even more beauty to the set. The storage compartment is felt lined to protect the pieces. Each chess set is signed and dated, with wood burning, by the master craftsman for authenticity. The pieces have miniature shields and weapons. Each set is hand crafted and truly one of a kind. This exact set can be ordered or you may request special alterations. The box measures approximately 12 x 12 x 3 inches. The height of the pieces range from approx 1 1/4 to 3 inches.
